Easter Jeep Safari
Moab, Utah

Day 1

It snowed over night and it was cold.  When we left the arena the night before at about 9PM, the storm had just started and visibility was poor.  In the morning, there was about 4" of fresh snow on the ground, and on my Ramcharger's seats, outside the motel.  It was cold, but at least it was calm and there was a blue sky overhead.

The trail head was a little worse than in town.  There was at least 8-10 inches of fresh on the trail, and the wind was blowing, hard.  I wished I had brought a better coat.

This was the Behind The Rocks trail.  Because of the snow, everyone bypassed High Dive and Up Chuck.  We reached White Knuckle Hill around 2PM, and most of the snow had melted away and temperatures were feeling much better.  But now the dry creek crossing had swollen to swift creeks up to a couple feet deep.  It was a great, and muddy, day!

Day 2

After replacing a mud-filled alternator on the XJ and hitting the car wash, we decided to run Hell's Revenge.

Here I am climbing to the top of the Escalator.

Day 3

For the final day in Moab, we ran Cliffhanger.
